CP-GO was a gamified web application created for CP Grupo, a real estate development company. The platform allowed homeowners to start building a sense of community before their physical homes were completed.

Through a playful digital environment inspired by sandbox games, users could create avatars, decorate their homes, and interact with future neighbors while waiting for construction to finish.

Problem

Buying a home in a new residential development often involves a long waiting period while the houses are still under construction.

During this time, future homeowners typically have little interaction with their neighbors or the developer.

The goal of the project was to create a digital space where residents could:

  • Connect with future neighbors
  • Personalize a virtual version of their home
  • Build a sense of community before moving in

Approach

To achieve this, we designed a gamified virtual environment where users could explore a digital version of the neighborhood.

Players could:

  • Create their own avatars
  • Decorate their virtual homes
  • Interact with neighbors
  • Participate in community activities

The experience was inspired by popular sandbox and social games such as Minecraft, The Sims, and Habbo Hotel, translating familiar gaming mechanics into a community-building platform.

Design

The visual identity and interface were designed to feel playful and accessible while still aligning with the client’s brand.

I worked on the UX structure and interface design, as well as contributing to the visual system of the game, including the logo and voxel-based assets created with Magicavoxel.

The interface was designed to be simple and intuitive so users unfamiliar with gaming environments could easily navigate the platform.

Challenges

One of the main challenges was designing an interface that worked well on mobile devices in landscape mode, which was the most common way users accessed the platform.

The UI needed to remain accessible and readable while providing quick access to multiple game elements, such as customization tools, social interactions, and navigation within the environment.

This required careful layout planning to avoid clutter while keeping essential controls easily reachable.

Outcome

The final result was an engaging community platform that transformed the waiting period before moving into a home into an interactive and social experience.

By combining elements from gaming and social platforms, the project created a unique way for future residents to connect and explore their future neighborhood.

Key Learnings

This project demonstrated how gamification can be applied beyond entertainment, helping brands create meaningful engagement and community experiences.

It also reinforced the importance of designing interfaces that remain intuitive even when introducing game-like mechanics.
